We focus on commercial, legal and immigration-related translations. Typical examples of these types of documents include:
- birth, marriage, divorce & death certificates;
- deeds of name change;
- certificates, diplomas, degrees & transcripts of secondary schools, trade schools, universities of applied sciences & research universities;
- police certificates;
- driver’s licences & car insurance documents;
- pay slips;
- tax assessments & tax returns.
We have our own in-house Dutch-English translator. For any other subject matter and/or language combination, we rely on a deep pool of specialists with the right language combination(s), training and experience.
Hot tip #1: not every translation needs to be certified.
Hot tip #2: not every certified translator has the right profile (training, experience) for the job.
With this in mind, one of the first questions we pose before going to quote is: does it need to be certified? If the answer is ‘yes’, we make sure your project gets assigned to the right certified translator to ensure the requirements of the relevant institution are met.
According to research, you’ve got a mere six (6) seconds to hook the reader, and a CV just does not get it done. The length, layout & style of a CV get in the way. (The only exception to this rule is academia, where CVs still rule the day.) That is why in most cases newcomers to Canada must convert their CV into a résumé format to have a chance of being successful in the Canadian labour market.
Because there are three different ways to write it in Canada: résumé, resumé or resume. Welcome to Canadian spelling. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
